John C. Dvorak (dvorak.org/blog) on Twit raised the issue with journalists these days in relation to the NYTimes owner floating the idea of moving from a paper edition to an online edition. He stated that a lot of modern newspapers are overly reliant on wire reports from AAP, AFP, Reuters etc and therefore don’t spend the money on quality journalists to write spec articles. In my news browsing of late I’ve noticed some cheap glitches that creep into articles, lazy writing, lazy research or a lack of editorial oversight.
